The CCCA Museum Expansion Grand Opening and Mackinac Island Tour

(See below for the Grand Opening and Mackinac Island Tour Details and Registration)

From Dreams to Reality

After years of dreaming, creative conversations, final concept proposals and, building an addition to the CCCA Museum, we are now bringing to life the educational and visual dynamics of the Classic Car Era. CCCAM is at the final stages of creating the most extensive exhibition plan that this – or any car museum has seen! With the fantastic guidance by Group Deplhi Design team led by Matt Short and the historic informative materials created by a committee led by cultural historian/writer Mary Seelhorst we will present information not readily available to the general public. Everyone who visits will take away something they had not known before about the automobiles of this amazing generation of engineering and design advancement. The Museum space, with its 11,000 sq.ft. expansion has been transformed to include a late 1920’s Grand Salon, a Ray Dietrich design studio, and an Art In Motion interactive exhibition featuring other famous designers and the manufacturers with whom they worked. This will include interactive educational information for all levels of the viewing public.

All this work taken on by the Board of Directors, led by Museum President Howard Freedman, will have its exciting Gala Opening Celebration on August 27-29 with a Ribbon cutting and Black Tie (optional) dinner on Saturday, August 28. We will cap off the weekend with an invitation to join the 18th Annual Pierce-Arrow Society Gathering at the Gilmore Car Museum, Hickory Corners, MI on Sunday, August 29. (Contact Dave Stevens at for Pierce-Arrow details). We continue the celebration on Monday, August 30 – September 2 with A Classic Era Tour – Hickory Corners to Mackinac Island. Space for the tour is very limited and will be restricted to the first 50 Full Classics.
