Welcome to the

Classic Car Club of America Museum!

We invite you to visit our museum when you find yourself in western Michigan and hope this site helps you to plan that trip. The Classic Car Club of America’s Museum is located on the campus of the Gilmore Car Museum near Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and Grand Rapids in Hickory Corners.

The historic two-story barn, dating from the 1890s and originally located only minutes from the museum, is known as the “Barrett Barn.” The initial funding for the building project was provided by the co-founder of the renowned Barrett-Jackson Auction of Scottsdale, Arizona, Thomas W. Barrett III.

The CCCA Museum, dedicated in June of 1987, offers a delightful day of exploring a wide array of Classic and historic automobiles. With the other museums, features and special events on weekends all spring, summer and fall, there is always great fun to be found on the Gilmore campus.

Explore our site to learn more about this great attraction and we look forward to seeing you at the Museum!

Closed Cars Will be Featured at 2010 CCCA Museum Experience

The feature at the 2010 CCCA Museum Experience will be “Closed Cars,” those cars that in so many ways truly embodied the Classic Era.

Dates for the weekend event are Friday, June 4 through Sunday, June 7.

The Experience will be held on Sunday. Other weekend events include a Welcome Barbecue Party on Friday evening on the museum grounds.  A countryside tour will depart the museum grounds on Saturday morning.  A cocktail party and dinner will be held that evening.  A silent auction will be held throughout the weekend, culminating with a live auction during dinner on Saturday.  A farewell supper will be held Sunday evening, following the Experience.

Also taking place that weekend will be a CCCA Grand Classic, on Saturday on the museum grounds, as well as display of automotive art in the Gilmore barns. Watch upcoming  CCCA publications for additional information and registration information.
